The renowned international magazine Construction and Investment Journal has been recognizing the best buildings in Slovakia for over twenty years. The winners are selected by a jury composed of representatives from both Slovak and international companies, as well as the general public. This year, in the category of premium residential projects, the jury was most impressed by Metropolis in Bratislava.

“From the very beginning, we had ambitious plans and designed Metropolis to meet the highest standard currently available in Slovakia. We’re very pleased that apartment owners are thrilled and already enjoying the comfort of their new homes and the luxury that comes with top-tier technologies and premium materials,” says Sebastien Dejanovski of MINT Investments.

Top Quality in Bratislava’s New Downtown

Not even the COVID pandemic or rising construction material costs disrupted the developer’s vision. On the contrary, the quality of the project continued to improve throughout the construction process. The architects paid attention to even the smallest details to ensure the finished building would be perfectly refined.

The project was executed by the renowned Japanese construction company TAKENAKA, and the apartments feature first-class technologies and materials. Add to that the central location, right in the heart of the city, close to theatres, shops, and the Danube riverfront and the result is a truly exceptional development, one of the few of its kind in Slovakia.

Cleaner air, even for allergy sufferers

The developer’s vision was to create a living space that offers not only maximum comfort but also an ideal environment for a healthy life. That’s why each apartment in Metropolis is equipped with its own autonomous air recovery unit, rather than a centralized system, which is still common in many other developments.

“We selected the German brand Wolf, which features premium anti-allergy filters capable of capturing up to 94% of airborne pollutants,” explains Sebastien Dejanovski. People with allergies truly notice the difference, breathing becomes easier and more comfortable in such an environment.

The air recovery system works independently, ensuring a constant flow of fresh air without the need to open windows. Naturally, residents can adjust the ventilation intensity according to what suits them best.

Ceiling heating and cooling with remote control

“We also considered health when choosing the heating and cooling systems,” says Dejanovski. Radiant ceiling heating and cooling create no draft and don’t stir up dust or allergens. The entire system can be controlled via a mobile app, whether you're just a couple of streets away at work or on vacation abroad.

Metropolis is also the only new development in this area to feature external aluminum blinds. These help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature during hot days while also reducing energy costs for cooling.

Thanks to the combination of advanced technologies, thoughtful architecture, and premium construction quality, residents of Metropolis enjoy lower energy bills compared to surrounding projects.

Large-Format Tiles and Three-Layer Solid Wood Flooring

Every detail was carefully considered during the design phase, both within the apartments and in the shared spaces. From the moment you enter the lobby, with its high ceilings and art by renowned Slovak artist Karol Štedrý, who exhibits in Prague, Dubai, and London, the atmosphere feels refined and welcoming.

Inside the apartments, residents appreciate the large-format Italian porcelain tiles and premium German sanitaryware in the bathrooms and toilets. One of the standout design and functional features is the frameless, extra-tall interior doors with magnetic locks. The three-layer solid wood floors ensure a comfortable feel, even when walking barefoot.

“Very few developers today would take on a project of this quality. It requires a much larger investment, and once completed, apartments like these would be significantly more expensive than Metropolis is today,” says Sebastien Dejanovski.

When you factor in the central location in the heart of the new downtown and the limited number of apartments compared to other nearby developments, the value of properties in this project is likely to increase over time.

Seeing Is Believing

You can experience the quality of Metropolis, recently recognized with a prestigious industry award, for yourself. While most of the apartments have already been sold, the developer has reserved some of the very best units for the final phase. Located on the upper floors, they offer impressive views of Bratislava and the Little Carpathians.

All apartment sizes are still available, from one-bedroom to five-bedroom units. If you’d like to see and evaluate Metropolis in person, simply book a viewing of the project or one of the show apartments.
